Pillar: Content breakdowns

  • The 2022 food series — the format everyone copied

This is the one that changed things, and the lesson is boring on purpose: it was repeatable.

One plate. One place. Sixty seconds. An accent that didn’t apologise for being from Rawalpindi. That constraint meant I could make it fifty times without getting bored, and the audience knew exactly what they were getting each time.

Then half the country started making it too. Good — that was the point. A format you invented and gave away is worth more than one you protected.

  • I Walked 1400 Feet in the Sky

Titles fail when they try to be clever. This one just states what happened, with a number attached.

“Terrifying walk in the mountains” is a worse title than “1400 feet” because the first asks you to trust my judgement and the second lets you make your own.

Specificity reads as true. Vagueness reads as marketing.

  • Sahiwal mein mere qad se bhi onchi makai ki fasal

The whole video works because of a decision made before a single word is spoken: stand next to the thing and let the audience do the maths themselves.

I could have opened with a line about Sahiwal, about the season, about the farmer. All of that is in the video — but later, once you’ve already decided to stay.

The mistake most people make is explaining the premise. Explaining takes four seconds. Showing takes one.
